Jay’s Diner

West Brighton. What madness took me there.

Bo ordered pumpkin pancakes, not pictured, and a cup of coffee. Bo decided to sit at the counter so that we could be CounterFolk. Dave arrived shortly thereafter and he ordered some kind of apple covered and cream cheese stuffed French toast. It was very heavy, and very delicious. Those two things are the same thing.

This guy arrived and saw that we were sitting at the counter and he decided that he, also, wanted to sit at the counter. But. He decided to sit. Right. Next. To. Bo. Obviously this was a huge faux pas. I mean, what’s next, he stands next to me in the bathroom? This was the same thing. Same exact thing.

Anyway, the food was fine and not too pricey. The diner itself is open 24 hours, which is kind of cool. And they have some kind of Thanksgiving event-see pictures above. Note: they do not have real maple syrup. That almost caused Dave to change his order, but Bo peer-pressured him into sticking with it.

Don’t Miss: the Irish-knotted toast!

Pro Tip: Bring along some coins. The booths near the front windows have jukeboxes in them!
